Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor is an American producer and actress. She received a BA in Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch school of the arts, New York University she earned an MFA. Aunjanue is an American actress also known as producer and director. She is employed in film and television. The actress Aunjanue. Ellis started her acting career in the theatre. Later, she appeared in television programs as well as independent and mainstream films. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for that she was not only rewarded with praise from critics but also a number of nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Film. She made her professional debut as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. She has performed in Broadway with roles in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is highlighted through her appearances in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Her role as a regular in ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
